Stock Import - Schedule Job

Skip First Line

  • Use this if the first line of the import has column names

Force Proper Case

  • This will capitalise the first character of each word

Filename to Import

  • This is filename only of the File to Import

Extra Directory Info

  • This is the directory from where to import from

Archive Directory

  • After the file is processed, it will be archived here

Notes

·         If the directory name is too large for the field, you can put some of the directory name in the File name field

o    These fields are concatenated to form the full path

·         Stores and suppliers that are not matched will be created

o    If no Store name is supplied, but store data is supplied (Cost or prices) then this data will be updated into ALL Stores

·         All fields do not have to be completed; in fact, simply the product name only (the first field) is all that is needed to successfully create imported products

Tips

  • There are various ways existing products will be matched; the order is as the match flag fields appear

  • The whole Product Group tree can be imported if required

    • This should be done prior to importing the products so the group names can be matched

    • Group names that are not matched will be added; if no Group names are specified, a group called Imported Products will be created
