This article explains some of the basic formulas used to calculate the data included in the Stock Journal Report. These formulas can be used to create columns that display required information in the report.

Prerequisites 
  • To access Stock Journal Settings, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled 
    • Operator Maintenance 'Reporting' Tab
      • Sales Reports: "Allow Stock Reports" Flag

"_Standard" View Formulas
  • This is one of the default views for the Stock Journal Report
  • This View focuses on Qty on Hand adjustments and CostEx adjustments
  • The data columns included in this view by default are as follows:

 

Column Heading

Data Description/Formula

Qty on Hand Start
  • This is the Quantity on Hand at the beginning of the shift
Qty Adjust
  • This is the adjusted Quantity of products
Qty onHand End
  • This is the final Quantity after required adjustments
  • E.g., Qty onHand End = Qty onHand Start- Qty Adjust
CostEx Start
  • This is the CostEx on Hand at the beginning of shift
CostEx Adjust
  • This is the adjusted CostEx of Products
CostEx End
  • This is the final CostEx after the required adjustments have been made
  • E.g., CostEx on End = CostEx Start- CostEx Adjusts


"*Start and End View" Formulas
  • This View has data columns similar to _Standard View except that this View does not contain DateTime Applied and Operator Name columns
  • The formulas to calculate the Qty on Hand and CostEx is also similar to the Standard View

  • This is the adjusted Quantity of Products

  • This is the final Quantity after required adjustments

CostEx Start
  • This is the CostEx on Hand at the beginning of shift
CostEx Adjust
  • This is the adjusted CostEx of Products
CostEx End
  • This is the final CostEx after the required adjustments have been made
  • E.g., CostEx on End = CostEx Start- CostEx Adjusts
