About
  • The Summa Interface comprises of a Job that is scheduled to run after the close of business that will send the relevant sales information to Summa over an FTP Link
    • The Job remembers the last shift that was sent and will send all data since that last sent shift on each scheduled run
    • This means that the job can be set to run weekly if desired
  • Summa must supply the FTP Address, Name and Password
    • Additionally, a "StoreID" must be supplied for each Venue (Multi-Venues are supported and the sales is sent from the Head Office only)

Job Options

Export Directory
  • This is simply a location that the Export files are created in prior to sending to Summa
Summa FTP Address
  • This is supplied by Summa
Summa Login Name
  • This is supplied by Summa
Summa Password
  • This is supplied by Summa
Store Export Field
  • Each Store needs to send a "StoreID" to Summa. This is supplied by Summa and must be set into each Venue record in either the Export Field 1 or Export Field 2
Set From Shift
  • This will display and allows you to change the "from shift" that the next data export will use. This may be set when the interface is first installed to limit the amount of initial data sent to Summa.
  • When first configuring this interface, it is advisable to click the 'Set From Shift" and select a shift from when the sales data should be sent. This allows for limiting the amount of data sent in the initial connection
  • Do not set the interface to run whilst still trading. This will result in partial shift data being sent for that day. The interface must be set to run after close of business one day, and prior to start of business the next day
  • Ensure you set the Run Missed Jobs to "Never", else the job may run during a trading day and partial data will be sent
