5 | Supplier Custom Info

Prerequisites 

Operator Privileges

  • Within Operator Maintenance , there are a number of privilege flags that need to be enabled for an Operator to access & edit the Custom Info components throughout BackOffice
  • There are two privileges that can be authorized for each instance of Custom Info available:
    • Viewing Custom Info 
      • If this flag is enabled in Operator Maintenance, the Operator will have access to the specified Custom Info
    • Editing Custom Info 
      • If this flag is enabled in Operator Maintenance, the Operator will have access to edit the specified Custom Fields
  • To allow authorization for Custom Info, login to BackOffice and follow the steps below: 
    1.  In the Maintenance Menu select Operator 
    2. Select the desired Operator by highlighting and clicking on the Edit Operator button
    3. The Operator Maintenance Window will then appear and from here, select the Maintenance Tab 
    4. In the Maintenance Tab, locate the Suppliers section and enable the desired flags for that Operator 



Supplier Custom Fields

Viewing Custom Fields

  • To View Supplier Custom Info within BackOffice, follow the step below: 
    1. After logging on to BackOffice, in the Maintenance Menu select Supplier 
    2. Select the desired Supplier by either double-clicking or using the Edit Supplier Function 
    3. The Supplier Maintenance Window will then appear; select the Custom Info Button on the bottom of the window to view Custom Info


Editing Custom fields

  • In the Custom Info Menu, follow the steps below to Edit Supplier Custom Info 
    1. After Selecting the Edit Custom Fields button, a new window will appear where the Operator can configure four (4) types of Custom Fields, including:
      • Flag Fields 
      • Number Fields 
      • Date Fields 
      • Text Fields
    2. Within this window, click in a Field Name area to begin Editing
    3. For Text Fields, add Values to select from for each Text Field Name as well; double-click in the Values Field to open a window for Multiple Entries
    4. When finished, click OK


  • There will generally be options for ten (10) Flag Fields, five (5) Number Fields, five (5) Date Fields, and twenty (20) Text Fields

Example

  • For this Supplier Custom Fields example, there is data that has been input in the relevant fields 
  • Once the fields have been populated, select OK and the Operator will be returned to the Custom Info window 
  • From here, data that has been input into the Custom Fields can now be utilized in Custom Info
  • This allows more information to be applied to Suppliers which can be used for many purposes throughout BackOffice such as 
    • Creating Custom Views
    • Generating Reports 
    • Managing and Grouping Data


  • Custom Views can be created using Custom Info Fields to sort through Products, Operators, Suppliers, etc.
