The "Table Limit" Sub-Function is designed to set a Monetary Spending Limit Amount for an Active Table. This Function can be very useful for Customers and help manage spending and Product Orders.

Prerequisite 

  • To access Till Function Settings, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled: 
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
      • System Setup: "Maintain Till Function Maps" Flags
  • To use this Till Function in SmartPOS, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:
    • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
      • General: "Operate Tills" Flag 
      • Tables: "Tables Sales" Flag
      • Tables: "Create New Tables Flag 

Initial Setup

  • Click on the desired Button space and configure the Button Settings: 
    • In the Button Text field enter the text that will display on the Till Function Button on SmartPOS Workstation Screens 
    • Set the Function drop-down to 'Tables & Accounts' 
    • Set the Sub-Function to 'Table Limit'



Function-Specific Configurations 

  • In the Item Field, the corresponding number will:
    • Preset a Table Limit Amount for the Active Table 
      • Limit Amount in Cents 

SmartPOS Example

  • After selecting the Table Limit Function and is also configured with a Preset Limit, a prompt message will appear informing the Operator that a Limit has been applied to the Table 
  • If no Preset Limit is configured, the Operator will be prompted to  enter the Limit amount manually
