      11 | Table Warning

      This article covers an overview of the Table Warnings Till Function and how it is used within SmartPOS. A Table Warning can be set to automatically show a Warning (Over Time!) status after a predetermined amount of time. The number of minutes to prompt this Warning can be configured in BackOffice. The Warning function can be used to help with Table Turnover or to help as a reminder for Waitstaff to check with the kitchen and speed up ticket times.

        A Table Warning can be set to automatically show a Warning (Over Time!) status after a predetermined amount of time. The number of minutes to prompt this Warning can be configured in BackOffice. The Warning function can be used to help with Table Turnover or to help as a reminder for Waitstaff to check with the kitchen and speed up ticket times.

        Prerequisites 

        • To access Table Warning Features, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled 
          • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
            • General: "Operate Tills" Flag
            • Tables: "Table Sales" Flag

        User Guide

        • To set a Table Warning on, tap the Set Warning Till Function button
        • A prompt will display, confirming with the Operator to set the Warning and a 2nd prompt will display the time that the Warning will take effect


            

        • The Warning Time can be configured via the Till Function Map in the Backoffice
        • After a Table has reached the Warning time that has been set, the Table will appear in the Table List highlighted in Red with an Over Time! Status

        • Similarly, if the table is viewed on a Graphical Map, the table will have a red mark on it 


        • A warning prompt will also display when an Operator selects the table to Reopen it
