Times

Here the Back-Panel user is able to set the venue’s business hours, pick up and delivery times, special time slots and custom schedules for a specific period of time. T he Back-Panel user can also set if the venue will accept orders ahead and set the time intervals that will be available in YourOrder for scheduled orders.

These settings are critical as they act as constraints as to when YourOrder customers can place orders for pick-up or delivery in YourOrder. These are the fields to be set:

Role of Business
It’s the time the business day starts.
Start of Week
It’s the first day of the business week - this is the day the store starts its normal operating cycle or rhythm on, i.e. Monday

Guaranteed Ready Time

If disabled, the ready time for the order is not displayed to the customer

Use Google API travel times
ON: Use Google to estimate live travelling time from venue to customer address. OFF: Use standard Delivery travel time defined by the venue in Delivery travel time below.
Use General or Product-Based Preparation Time
General: Apply Preparation Time from Ready Time fields above.
Product-Based: Apply maximum Preparation Time for Products in an order derived from the Product's configuration
Allow Orders Ahead

ON: Allow orders ahead of today.

OFF: Do not allow orders ahead of today.

Allowable pre-order Days  Customers will be allowed to order ahead up to this number of days, i.e. 7 days. The value is set in days.
Time to release pre-orders to Bepoz  The number of hours before future orders are released/ sent to Bepoz Back Office, i.e. 6hours before actual pick-up/delivery time. Value in hours.
Allow Orders Outside Service
ON: Allow purchases outside service hours

OFF: Do not allow purchases outside service hours
Pickup/Dine-In
Open Times
It constrains when customers can place orders for pickup or dine-in.
Delivery open times  It constrains when customers can place orders for delivery.
Ready time pick up  Estimated time in minutes the order is expected to be ready for pickup/dine-in. The time period is sent to the customer in the pickup order confirmation email and shown in their order history. If set to 0, YourOrder will say the order will be ready within a minute.
Ready time delivery  Estimated time in minutes the order is expected to be delivered. The time period is sent to the customer in the delivery order confirmation email and shown in their order history
Pickup time interval

Customer will be allowed to select pickup times in these interval blocks, i.e. if the interval is 5, then pick-up timeslots visible to the customer will be 10.00, 10:05, 10:10, 10.15am.

The value is set in minutes.

Delivery time interval

Customer will be allowed to select delivery times in these interval blocks, i.e. if the interval is 30, then the delivery window for customers will be 10.00-10.30am, 10:30-11: 00 am.

The value is set in minutes.

Delivery travel time

This time will be added to order preparation time for all delivery orders if the "Use Google API travel times" switch is set to OFF. Value is a fixed set of  minutes for all deliveries added on top of the “Ready Time Delivery” minutes.

Note that if the ‘Google API Travel Time’ switch is enabled then the delivery travel time will be calculated from Google Maps and so this field will not display. Field will reappear if the switch is disabled

Set Up Pickup/Dine In & Delivery Time

Pickup/Dine In and Delivery open times are set up in the same way. In both scenarios, a list of the days of the week will be displayed with start and end work time fields and with the option to add a timeslot to that day. By clicking to add a timeslot, a new start and end time fields will open for the Back-Panel user to fill in.

It also allows the Back-Panel user to create custom schedules for special days or periods of time like Christmas day where no pickup or deliveries are offered or Anzac Day where pick up, and deliveries are from 1 pm to 8 pm only. By clicking on “Add Period”, new fields will be displayed for the Back-Panel user to fill in with the start/end date and time. The “Override” column allows the Back-Panel user to toggle the custom schedule ON (adds an unusual timeslot to the current schedule) or OFF (removes an unusual timeslot from the current schedule).

To make it more clear, Custom Schedules do not replace what is currently set in Default Schedules if there is an overlap between the two. Here are some examples:
a.     Thursdays regular repeating schedule is to be open from 09:00 - 23:59, so adding the custom schedule THU 12/04/18 12:50 - 12/04/18 18:50 set to ON has no effect since the store is already open at that time, while set to OFF it would close YourOrder in that period.
b.     Regular repeating schedule on Sunday is to be open from 08:00 - 13:00, closes and opens again from 15:00 - 20:00. Only on Sunday 29/04/2018, the venue doesn’t want to have a break, so they can create a custom schedule set to ON from 29/04/2018 13:00 to 29/04/2018 15:00.
c.     Regular repeating schedule on Wednesday is to be open from 08:00 - 17:00. On Wednesday of 25/04/2018, which is a public holiday and the venue will be closed, the Back-Panel user can create a custom schedule set to OFF from 25/04/2018 00:00 to 25/04/2018 23:59, or too longer periods, like exemplified in the image above, which the custom scheduled is set to OFF from 24/12/2018 (Christmas Eve) to 26/12/2018 (Boxing day), which means the venue will be closed at this time.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Delivery orders will be accepted until 15min earlier than the closing time. E.g. the closing time it 10 pm, delivery orders will be taken until 9:45 pm.
