Tipping Module This section covers the configurations of tips to staff members, which can be set by the Back-Panel user. Features Description Use Staff Tipping ON: Allows customers to add tip payments to staff with their transaction. OFF: Disables customers from adding tip payments.

This section covers the configurations of tips to staff members, which can be set by the Back-Panel user.  
 
Features Description
Use Staff Tipping  

ON: Allows customers to add tip payments to staff with their transaction.

OFF: Disables customers from adding tip payments. Once Disabled then all other features will not appear. 

Tip Message  Display a message to customers for their permission on tip payment. 
Yes Button Title  A name to be displayed on the YES button within the tipping window. 
No Button Title  A name to be displayed on the NO button within the tipping window. 
Tipping Value (Percentages)  The percentage amount of the total bill a customer can choose to pay as a tip. Percentage values can be a single value, or several values separated by commas (e.g. 10 or 10,15,20). 
 
 
 
 

Tipping Setup 

Procedure 
 
  1. To access the tipping module, click settings on the lefthand side of the page to open the settings window and find tipping module. Click the  button on the right to expand the section and show the above features.
  2. Configure the features as needed:
    • Staff Tipping: To allow customers to give tips, ensure the ON button is green. Pressing the white OFF button will change OFF button to red and disable the tips feature. To enable tips while tipping Is disabled, click the white ON button changes ON to green and activates the tips feature. 
    • Tip message and button title fields: Input a custom message into desired fields. Each field will have a default message. If any of these fields are left empty and the  button is clicked a prompt will appear asking to input a value before proceeding.
    • Tipping Value (Percentages): Input at least one whole number into the provided field, if users would like several different values, then input each number separated by a comma (e.g. 5,10,15). If the field is empty or contains a decimal number and the  button is clicked, a popup will occur asking to input an appropriate value before proceeding. 
Notes:  
  • After each change click the  button to save the configuration. If users want to cancel a change, click the  button to revert feature back to the previous state.  
  • Each feature configuration will apply to all order types within YourOrder.
  • Each field has a default value:
    • Tip Message: Would you like to add a tip for our staff?
    • Yes Button Title: Add a Tip 
    • No Button Title: Maybe Later
    • Tip Value (Percentages): 5,10,15,20,25,100

While Staff Tipping is ON and the customer decides on a payment choice from the payment page, the above window will appear. This window shows all features set in the tipping module setting, as well as an optional field for customers to input a desired amount to tip to staff. Clicking the NO Button will not apply tips, while clicking the yes button will apply the final tip amount.  
 
Checkout page 
 
 
 
Once tips have been finalized from the popup window, it will appear on the checkout page. If the NO button was clicked, then tips are not applied and will not appear.

  • Tips in the frontend can be viewed on mobile and the responsive website. The views above are from mobile but are similar to the responsive website.
