3 | Transaction Promotion

This article covers the 'Transaction' Promotion Type and the Qualifying Criteria. As was noted in the Introduction to Prize Promotions article, the Promotion Type drop-down lists several options that can be chosen when configuring a Prize Promotion and each Promotion Type has different Qualifying Criteria that must be met in order for the Prize to be Awarded. The configuration options in the Qualifying Criteria section will change dynamically when a Promotion Type is selected.

As was noted in the Introduction to Prize Promotions article, the Promotion Type drop-down lists several options that can be chosen when configuring a Prize Promotion and each Promotion Type has different Qualifying Criteria that must be met in order for the Prize to be Awarded.

The configuration options in the Qualifying Criteria section will change dynamically when a Promotion Type is selected.

Prerequisites 

  • To access Prize Promotion Features, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled: 
    • Operator Maintenance 'Marketing & Promotions' Tab
      • Promotions: "Maintain Prize Promotions" Flag
    • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
      • General: "Operate Tills" Flag

"Transaction" Promotion Type

  • This Promotion Type can be used for both Account and Non-Account Sales
  • This will Award a Prize with every Transaction or as determined by the Required Field and Field Contains configurations
  • A limit on the number of Prizes allowed each day can be set if required using the Maximum Promos per Day field in the Maximums and Counts section
