      Updating DB password in KDS Server configuration file

      Overview

      This article provides steps on how to update the password that allows the KDS database to access SQL Server. By default, they are designed to look for the default Bepoz credentials. 

      Prerequisites

      Getting Started

      • SmartKDS has been designed to use the default SQL logon credentials which are setup for Bepoz SQL server

      • However, if a different SQL server username and password has been setup, this needs to be updated within the 'KDS.Server.exe.config' to allow SmartKDS to use the existing SQL server instance

      • If the SQL server password doesn't match to the default, the user will be prompted with a failed login message whilst creating a new Database for SmartKDS

      • If the failed login message is encountered, please navigate to C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Bepoz\\SmartKDS to access the KDS.Server.exe.config file, update the password for SA logon and Bepoz logon

      • Please ensure that these two passwords are the same
