Prerequisites
  • For an operator to be able to setup Utopia Gaming Interface, the following privileges must be enabled 
    • Venue Maintenance "Main" Tab (General Settings)
      • All 'System Setup' Flags
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab  
      • System Setup: "Access Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
      • System Setup: "Maintain Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
      • System Setup: 'Maintain Card Prefixes'
    • Operator Maintenance 'Maintenance' Tab  
      • Accounts & Memberships: 'All' Flags

CALink Setup

 

Fields

Description

Server Type

  • This is the type of server used: Utopia

Server IP Address

  • This is the IP Address provided by Utopia Gaming

Server TCP Port

  • This is the port that CALink uses to connect to the Utopia interface
  • This is provided by Utopia

Till Connection TCP Port

  • This is the port at which CALink connects with backoffice

Username

  • This is the username to connect to Utopia Gaming CALink
    • This is provided by Utopia Gaming

Password

  • This is the password given for the above username
    • This is provided by Utopia Gaming

Client ID

  • This is the Client ID provided by Utopia

Client Secret

  • This is the Client Secret provided by Utopia
 

 


BackOffice Setup
  • Below are the BackOffice setups that need to be configured which allows BackOffice to connect to CALink for the purposes of this interface
Venue Setup
  1. Go to Backoffice -> System Setup
  2. Select Venue, Stores & Tills, and open Venue Maintenance
  3. Select a Venue and open Venue Maintenance
  4. In the External Links Tab, set the CALink #1 Gaming Points Link as follows:
    1. CALink Name: Name of the CALink instance
    2. CALink IP: This is the IP Address of the CALink communication with the Gaming system
    3. CALink Port: This is the TCP Port of the CALink communication with the Gaming system
    4. Timeout Seconds: Set the timeout seconds as required
    5. Enable the flags: 
      • Update Bepoz Accounts: When enabled, will create or update accounts in the local database for Utopia accounts received via CALink
      • Use Tiering: When enabled, it gives information of the Bepoz account and gives what tier the member is in
      • Get PointType Vouchers: When enabled, requests the multiple Points Buckets from the Gaming system and converts them into PointType Vouchers in Bepoz

 

 

  1. On the Venue Maintenance 'Main Tab', set the Points Earn Percent to 100.00% and Points Redeem Percent to 10,000.00%

 

Till/ Workstation Setup
  1. Login to Backoffice and go to System Setup
  2. Go to Venue, Stores & Tills which will open a window
  3. Select a required Till and open Workstation Maintenance
  4. In the Flags/Other Tab, enable the 'Use CALink' Flag

 

 

 

Account Maintenance
  1. Login to Backoffice and navigate to the Maintenance Menu
  2. Select 'Accounts' to open the Account List
  3. Select and double-click the Account Group called 'Tier Valued' which opens the Account Maintenance window for the Group
  4. In the Main Setup Tab:
    • Enable the 'Earn Points' Flag and give the value as '100.00 %'
    • Enable the 'Redeem Points' Flag and give the value as '100.00 %'
    • Enable the 'Use CALink for Points' Flag 
  5. Click 'OK' to save the settings

Card Prefixes Setup
  1. Login to BackOffice and go to System Setup
  2. Select Card Prefixes from the Menu
  3. Select 'Add CardPrifix' to add a new card prefix
  4. Enter the below details to create a new card prefix:
    • CardPrefix:  ; 
    • Strip Chars:  1
    • Use Chars:  8
    • Card Type:  Select 'Account Card' from the drop down
  5. Exit Edit mode to save the settings
