4 | WIN Gaming Interface SmartPOS Usage

This article explains the SmartPOS workflow for the WIN Interface. After the necessary configurations in BackOffice , operators can access Account points from SmartPOS. When a gaming card is swiped at SmartPOS or an Account is opened manually, a request to WIN is sent via CALink. This will verify if the Account belongs to WIN Systems or not. If it does, the points will automatically update and Operators can view the points at the Account info section of SmartPOS.

After the necessary configurations in  BackOffice , operators can access Account points from SmartPOS. When a gaming card is swiped at SmartPOS or an Account is opened manually, a request to WIN is sent via CALink. This will verify if the Account belongs to WIN Systems or not. If it does, the points will automatically update and Operators can view the points at the Account info section of SmartPOS.

Prerequisite

  • To access SmartPOS and WIN features, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled: 
    • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
      • General: "Operate Tills" Flag
      • Accounts & Discounts: "Account Till Functions" Flag 
      • Accounts & Discounts: "Account Charges" Flag 
      • Accounts & Discounts: "Redeem Points for Products" Flag 
      • Accounts & Discounts: "Redeem Points for Cash" Flag 
      • An Operator must have an authorized Operator ID and be able to use SmartPOS

SmartPOS Workflow

  • Open an Account manually in SmartPOS or swipe the gaming card that will open the Account

  • The Account will automatically be updated with the points from WIN Systems
  • Customers can redeem the points on the basis of the BackOffice Points Redeem settings
