Windcave Software https://www.windcave.com/Downloads/PXTupeloInstaller_Scr2.exe

must be installed and active before Bepoz will link with it. can be checked by the red Windcave donut active in the task bar with no error exclamations. If on a 64 bit system, Smartpos must be set to run 32 bit using corflags.

Troubleshooting this, the device should show in device manager as a Virtual Com Port (ingenico Telium) if the pinpad is configured correctly and connected.

For TCP/IP (ethernet or wifi) setup the below additional steps to be taken

Hardware:

Connect the Terminal to Wi-Fi.

Once you’re connected to Wi-Fi, you will need to tell the PINpad which PC/Tablet to communicate with. The PC/Tablet will need a static address and port 2001 free.

  1. Reboot the terminal by holding the Clear and Func keys while the terminal is on its base.
As soon as you see the Windcave logo press the Clear key, please note that this only appears for about 3 seconds so you will need to be quick. When prompted with Enter Menu Name enter in the code ‘5210’.

From the available menu options select POS CONFIG and set the following.

  • Connection Type: Set as WIFI.

TCP Address: Set to PC/Tablet IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.51)

TCP port: Set to 2001 (this matches the 2001 port setup in our scr controller service
    Reboot the terminal.

SCR Controller Version Required: 3.0.24.1 (minimum)

SCR Controller Configuration: Port to be set to “TCPxxxx” where xxxx is the available port on the LAN. This will be the port used by SCR Controller to communicate with the Terminal.

Network Requirements: Both POS (with SCR Controller) and Terminal on same LAN. WiFi or wired Ethernet is OK. Firewalls must also allow communication between POS and Terminal.

Terminal Hardware: MOVE5000. Would work with IPP350 and CHU200M also however note that there is no on-board printer.

Software:

Run standard installer but change ComPort (controller cfg) to TCP+Port number you set PINpad to connect to.

<ComPort>TCP2001</ComPort>
