This article covers an Overview of the Split Bill "Xfer By Seat" & "Xfer Qty" Till Functions and how they are used within SmartPOS.

There are a handful of advanced Split Bill Till Functions including options for Transferring Product/s into Splits automatically by Seat Number, Transferring a specific Quantity of a Product to a Split, Sharing Product/s among Splits, and attaching an Account to a Split.

      Prerequisites

      • To access Split Table Features, the applicable Operator Privileges   will need to be enabled
        • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
          • General: "Operate Tills" Flag
          • Tables: "Table Sales" Flag
        • Venue Maintenance "Flags" Tab
          • Table Groups: "Ask Seat" Flag

      Xfer By Seat

      • This Function can only be used if the Seat Numbers Feature is configured in BackOffice
      • As Products are ordered, the operator will be prompted to input which seat/s that Products will be assigned to
      • To Transfer all items quickly and easily, the Operator can use the Xfer by Seat Function Key
      • When using Seat Numbers, the Operator can then tap the Xfer by Seat Function button and the Product/s will be transferred to create the Split for each Seat; i.e. Seat 1 to split 1, and so on

      • Within the Transaction window in the example above there are Products that have been added to the Transaction by Seat Number (the Table was not Split at creation)
      • Simply tap on the Xfer by Seat Function button and all of the Products will automatically transfer to the Individual Splits

      Xfer Qty

      • The Xfer Qty Function is used when there are multiple quantities of the same Product in a Transaction
      • In the following example, there are 4 beers on the Master Bill Table with the addition of 4 splits

      • Since there are multiple quantities of this Product, a certain amount can be transferred to Splits within the table
      • Highlight the desired product that has multiple quantities to transfer and then press the Xfer Qty Till Function button

      • A window will then appear prompting the Operator to enter the Quantity out of the four (4) products to be Transferred

      • After this, a different window will then appear prompting the Operator to select the Split to transfer the desired quantity to

      • The desired quantity will then be transferred, where the remaining amount of Products will be left on the Master Bill
        • If required, complete the previous steps to transfer to other Split Bills
      • As an alternative to using the Xfer Qty function button, the Operator can select the Product with multiple Quantities and then tap in the window of the desired Split; the Operator will then be prompted to enter the quantity to transfer to that Split leaving the remainder on the Master Bill
