21 | YourOrder Pickup by Car

Pickup by Car is an ordering option in YourOrder for venues with drive-through service.

Pickup by Car is an ordering option in YourOrder for venues with drive-through service. This function requires customers that choose this option to enter their vehicle’s rego number as validation during pickup.   


Setting Up 

 

To enable the service, go to the YourOrder Backpanel, Settings>Ordering Options and switch the flag to On for Pickup by Car.  

 

Other fields that can be set are:  

Name – the name for the service you would like to display on the app or website 

Till ID – this can be left as default unless there’s another API till that is set in Bepoz to handle drive through orders.  

Bepoz API and MAC– can be left as default 

Table Group – this field is for the table group ID in Bepoz that will process Drive Through orders. This group should be different from existing services such as Dine In, Pick Up or Room Service to avoid overlapping orders.  

Instruction – custom message can be set here as instructions when ordering.  

Close Order in Bepoz – this flag controls whether Bepoz can close the tables or orders that are fully paid for during checkout.  

Display Schedule date and time first – this flag displays the available times first prior to a customer placing an order 

Order Confirmation Message – custom text that can be sent to the customer upon order completion.  

Setting available times 

The next step is to set the schedule when Pickup by Car is available. This can be found in Settings>Times under the Pickup tab. Scroll down to see the Pickup by Car section.  

Users can select which day and time to have the service available. Custom schedules can be also set for holidays and other special days when availability is different from normal.  

 

The ready times can be set at the bottom.  

 

Setting the menu 

Next is to set which items to display. Go to Menus/Suggestion items and click the tab for the Pickup by Car name that you set earlier. Users can set the schedule of the menu and also what menu to display. A new menu can also be added in case the service requires its own set of items.  

 

Placing an Order 

 

Once the service is setup and active, customers should see this service as one of the options. Once selected, the customers can add their orders to their cart. Prior to checkout, they will be required to enter their vehicle’s rego number. Customers will also need to either sign in with their account or place the order as a guest user.
