Starting from version 2.7.4, YourOrder can now be set to accept international mobile numbers for sending order notifications via SMS.

Foreign nationals who would like to order from YourOrder can now use their own mobile phones instead of having to look for, or switch to a local mobile number.

Setup

To start the process, the venue must contact BurstSMS support to confirm if the countries they want to support require registration. It is also a good time to confirm the rates for international SMS by region.

In the Backpanel, go to Settings>SMS. Scroll down to find the Enable International Mobile Number flag to turn it on.

Once on, you would need to add which countries you would like to include for SMS notifications. Always remember to click the green tick to save the record.

Field definitions:

From – This is where the SenderID provided by BurstSMS can be set. The SenderID can differ by country or region.

With URL – Some countries do not allow URLs with SMS messages. This flag can be enabled or disabled based on the country.

Enable? - This field is used to allow or disallow a specific country from being able to receive SMS. Mostly used to ensure a country is not allowed to use the feature.

At Checkout

When prompted for the mobile number, the customer can change the flag on the left on the mobile number field or enter the country code plus their mobile number to change the field automatically.

For example, entering +1 and the number will set it for US, +65 will change it to Singapore.

An additional check is made if the mobile number entered is valid so a warning in red will appear if the mobile number does not match the format for the region.
